Park check

Could your local park grow a microforest?

Type the name of a park or suburb anywhere in Australia. You'll see how much shade the suburb has, why the park could suit a microforest and what we'd check first.

Built from open data: government park, school and tree maps, aerial photos, OpenStreetMap, the 2021 Census and Meta and WRI's tree height map, with suburb tree cover from state canopy reports where they exist. A good fit on the map is where the conversation starts. Every site gets a visit and a chat with the local council before anything is planted.
